Programs

Sojourner Truth Educational Program

BGW seeks to bridge the educational and wealth gap between women of color and others.  Educational programs promote self-sufficiency and academic excellence through workforce development and K-college educational services.  Valuable skills learned through the educational programs will enable individuals to gain or hone marketable skills to end the cycle of poverty.  Workforce training, life-skills, financial workshops, literacy education and job development is offered to women and children in rural communities.

SpeakUp

The SpeakUp Justice Initiative preserves the rights of women and children. Global events provide education and assistance to women and children. Partnerships help abolish inequities that prevent healthy living environments and other factors that lead to sex trafficking, family violence, sexual assault, child abuse and elder abuse in rural communities.
