Indiana Girl Scout Troop 1143 2016
Organized by: Amber Meranda
- Girl Scout Troop 1143 had a successful first year. Our 5 girls enjoyed forming their unit and developing a close bond. The girls met all of the Daisy requirements and bridged to Brownie Scouts in August 2015. In their first year they learned many life skills and applied them. They learned about running their own business and completed the first year of cookie sales. They practiced being helpful and kind by planting flowers in the service project for the Brownsburg Public Library. They formed bonds with other girls by participating in multi-troop activities. We had 2 girls attend camp this summer.
- In our second year, we have plans to expand the troop to about 10 girls. We will be learning outdoor skills like pitching tents, building fires, and tying knots. We will adventure on our first troop camping overnight. We will continue service projects locally and will further our business skills during the 2016 cookie season.
- Being in Girl Scouts runs about $100 per girl per year just to register, get uniforms and materials. This is before any activities, service projects, or events are factored. The troop could use a boost from great donors like you! Please donate, if you're able, and we will make sure it gets put to good use. We love building our leaders of tomorrow. These girls are fantastic. Thank you so much.
