THE STORY:

Hi everyone, my name is Bryan Butora. Recently, I went up to Ohio to audition for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps and made the cut! Out of over 500 people who auditioned across the glob, I was awarded one of the 150 spots that make up the corps. The Bluecoats are one of the elite Drum Corps International (DCI) Division I corps, and placed 3rd overall in 2015. The group travels over 10,000 miles and performs in over 30 cities for hundreds of thousands of people during the summer, while practicing up to 12 hours a day. It is a very demanding and exhilarating group to be a part of, and I can't be more excited! For those who don't know me, I am currently a senior at Central Hardin High School. I am highly active in band, being a part of the Central Hardin Marching Band for 5 years. I have been a part of many honor bands, including being the principal tuba player in the Kentucky All-State Symphonic Band and the University of Louisville's Wind Institute Band. Unfortunately, making the cut is only half of the battle. Being a part of a prestigious group like this costs a lot of money. There are multiple fees for tour, camps, and other costs such as traveling to these camps. This is where people like you come in! Being a Bluecoat is one of my biggest dreams, and I'm asking you for help! By donating, you will be helping me create a summer of lifelong memories and experiences that only this activity can give. Thanks! -Bryan
