The Opioid Epidemic is devastating American families and communities. Over 47,000 people died last year from drug overdose and more than half of them are opoioid overdose deaths. Studies indicate that many people who die from opioid overdose failed to receive proper medical attention. Witnesses who are able to perform rescue breathing and administer Naloxone to an overdosing person experiencing respiratory depression will likely prevent brain damage and other harm as well as bring the patient back from the brinks of death. If the first dose of Naloxone doesn't get a response in 3-4 minutes, give another dose of Naloxone. It will not hurt the patient.
Since January 2015 we have put over 250 kits into the hands of families and friends in south east Michigan that love someone who is at high risk for an opioid overdose for free. (The kits cost us approximately $30 each to prepare) 7 of those kits have been used to successfully reverse an opioid overdose of someone who otherwise would likely have died PRICELESS ~ www.bryanshope.org ~ HELP us SAVE a LIFE DONATE $30
