BENEFITING: Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi
Bryce was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in March of 2013. Type 1 diabetes is (currently!) an incurable, chronic auto-immune disease caused when the body attacks its own pancreas and stops the production of insulin. Without insulin, you cannot live. Insulin is provided to Type 1 diabetics via shots or a pump. Bryce takes between 4-6 shots every single day. In addition, he must check his blood sugar 6-8 times a day and count the carbs of everything he eats so he can give himself enough insulin. The good news is that there is an incredible amount of research working for a cure and for technology that can help Type 1's lead as normal lives as possible. Please consider donating to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi and Team "Bryce's Buddies" to help educate the public, prevent unnecessary deaths from misdiagnosis and help provide support to Type 1 children and their parents. Help him be the top fundraiser again! Thank you in advance!!
