Stacey's Bucket List
Organized by: Kate Jackson
Stacey, my best friend of 14 years, is the strongest person I know. Through all the adversity she has faced, she remains kind and continues to have an optimistic outlook on life.
Stacey was diagnosed with breast cancer right before her 25th birthday. She has been fighting it for almost 10 years! A little over 2 years ago when she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. It had spread to her liver, bones, lungs and more recently her brain. Now, at 34 and 2 years into chemo that is not working and hindering her quality of life - she decided to stop chemo and start her bucket list. Her doctor gave her 6 months to live and I want to do everything I can to help her achieve her final wishes.
Bucket List Item #1 - Go to a Philadelphia Eagles game in Philly (Oct. 23rd)
An avid and loyal sports fan, Stacey has been an Eagles fan as long as I can remember. I know it's weird that a girl from Oregon would love the Eagles, but there is not an NFL team in her state. Whenever someone asks how she became a fan of a team on the other side of the country she replies, "Madden." She liked the Eagles style when playing the video game so she decided to watch them in real life. She fell in love with the history, the team, the fans and how fearsome they are.
2 tickets for seats to the October 23rd game were donated to her and she is ecstatic! She will need airfare and, I would like to put her up in a decent hotel with easy access to Lincoln Financial Field. She would also like to experience the city of Philadelphia while she is there, so funds for that and meals would help her out immensely.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If there is any more information I can provide, don't hesitate to ask. I can be reached via the Crowdrise weblink. If you can help at all she and I would be so grateful.
