In 1987, Allison Nix-Harris, was born with a congenital heart defect known as dextro-Transposition of the great arteries (d-TGA) and received a major heart procedure (balloon angioplasty) the day she was born, followed by two more surgeries (Glenn and Modified Modified Fontan), one when she was four and another when she was five years old. Those original surgeries began to fail a few years ago and have caused irreversible cardiac cirrhosis damage to her liver, along with a list of other disabling side effects. She is now twenty six and in January of this year underwent a complete reconstructive Fontan revision surgery and is now also listed for a duel organ (heart and liver) transplantation. Allison and her husband, John, are in severe financial debt due to not only the out of pocket costs of the most recent surgery, assorted related medical costs, and also the cost of living during this recovery period. They are asking for your aid, anything that you, your families, and your friends can offer will go towards paying off their deductibles and lifting them closer and closer out of debt. Thank you for taking the time to read this; I know that they are both so very appreciative. Much love...
