Alvaro is a Gnobe indian living in the hills of Chiriqui Panama with his beautiful family of 14. He is providing for a large family including his wife and children, sisters, a young brother and his elderly father. His $14 per day salary feeds the family, but he has a dream to build a home which is larger than his income. His current hut is made of scrap materials, old sheet metal and palm branches. Every time the daily rains come, water runs through his mud floors and also drips onto the family beds. His small children and father have been ill because of the moisture and unhealthy living conditions.
We applaud Alvaro's hard work ethic as a long term employee at a local greenhouse. We believe that we can all help make his dream come true. He has family and friends to provide the manual construction labor, but he desperately needs $4,400 in building materials to construct a beautiful new home with a new metal roof, concrete block walls and a concrete floor, nice windows and doors.
We have looked over Alvaro's plans and established that his need authentic and the prices for materials at the local lumber yard are correct. The construction material list amounts to $4,400. 100% of donations go directly to Alvaro's construction material costs.
If you could help Alvaro by donating, you are also helping his children to live more healthy lives, and you are helping his elderly father as well. The entire family will be dry in the newly constructed home. $5, $10, $20, $100 or more is greatly appreciated. All donations are tax deductible through Children's Feeding Network, a 501(c)3 non profit organization (48-0971077).
Thank you in advance for becoming a dream maker!
