BENEFITING: The Sonder Project Inc
Water is essential to human survival. What should be a basic human right is something that is simply not available to so many people around the world. In fact, 1 out of every 10 people worldwide lack access to safe water.
Women and children are spending more than 125 hours EACH day collecting the water they need to survive. Water that is making them sick.
Did you know that every 90 seconds, a child dies from a water-related disease? A child like Binta. A beautiful 1st grader in Burkina Faso, Africa who, thankfully will not suffer this fate. Why, you ask? Binta used to spend hours every day collecting water with her mother. She would miss school to collect the filthy liquid needed for her family's survival. Last fall however, The Sonder Project built a well in Binta's community. She now spends her days enjoying clean, easily accessibility water and going to school. Binta's future is bright.
We want to provide this same relief in other communities in need and ensure that more children can live happy, healthy lives, and set them on the path to better futures.
Did you know, that every $1 invested in water and sanitation provides a $4 economic return? That's pretty powerful when you think about it.
Will you help us celebrate World Water Day by providing a well for a village in need?
