PLEASE HELP US RAISE THE FUNDS NEEDED TO BUILD A FULL-FLIGHT FACILITY FOR BIRDS OF PREY BEING REHABILITATED!
We are a small, 501 (c)(3) non-profit wildlife rehabilitation group based in Montgomery County, Texas. We rehabilitate injured, orphaned, and displaced native wildlife and release them back in to the wild when they are ready. We assist hundreds of birds each year, but we need the funds to construct a full-flight facility for large birds of prey. The birds we assist are injured due to vehicle strikes, gunshots, poisoning, being caught in barbed wire, and orphaned babies from trees being cut down. Once they recover from their injuries, the birds need to be flight conditioned to gain strength and improve their hunting skills prior to release. A full-flight facility (to be built to the guidelines set by Texas Parks & Wildlife) has to be 100' long, 40' wide, and 16' tall and has to be constructed of wood and wood slats. We are trying to raise $50,000 to construct this enclosure. This will rehabilitate large birds of prey, up to and including bald eagles. We are an all-volunteer group and are not funded by any local, state, or federal agencies; the only way we can continue our mission is through fundraising and donations. All donations are tax deductible.
