Building Community Value @ the Mackinac Policy Conference
Organized by: Chase Cantrell
I humbly request your assistance in attending this year's Mackinac Policy Conference, which will be held from Tuesday, May 31 through Friday, June 3. The MPC's website states, "This year's Conference will drive statewide dialogue on entrepreneurship, urban education and investing in the future to move Michigan forward," which are subjects close to my heart.
The Mackinac Policy Conference (MPC) is Michigan's premier annual gathering where policy makers, media, and the business community gather to discuss the current political and economic climate in Michigan and to brainstorm and make plans for the future. As you can imagine, it is a premier networking space where deals are made. For many community partners who may wish to attend, however, the cost can be prohibitive. The full price for attendance is $2,050 for Chamber members and $2,900 for non-Chamber members, not including travel and accommodation costs.
I am fortunate to be a recipient of a partial registration scholarship for this year's conference and believe that, as a representative of the Detroit community and the founder of a unique non-profit model, my voice will be an important one at the conference.
For this reason, whether large or small, your contribution will help me get to know policy makers and potential funders and, ultimately, grow my non-profit, Building Community Value, more swiftly.
