Building Markets is excited to participate once again in the Skoll Foundation’s Social Entrepreneurs Challenge on CrowdRise. We believe that in the fight against poverty many different tools should be used, and your contributions help us to do what we do best: find, train, and connect local entrepreneurs in developing countries.
We now have teams working with local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Liberia, Mozambique and Myanmar. We believe that these businesses are critical to lifting more lives out of poverty. With a well-supported and vibrant SME sector, new jobs will be created and incomes will rise. Our work has allowed business owners and staff to send their children to school, facilitated adoption of new technologies and equipment, and connected businesses to international opportunities.
Your donations this year will further support our organization’s operations, from financial literacy training in Mozambique, to corporate social responsibility awareness in Myanmar. Given the recent Ebola outbreak, Liberian businesses need more support now more than ever in order to limit the damage to the country’s fragile economy.
Every dollar counts. We are truly grateful for your support.
