Donna says no money is needed to pay for her home -- justthe clinic. See More

My friend, Donna Tabor, left her comfortable job and a career in television production 20 years ago and moved to Nicaragua. She went there to build an organization that helped the children and the animals -- and she has been there ever since. I watched her transition. Yes, Donna, "transition." Donna was always helping someone. Its her way. I always suspected that she was raised in a comfortable home with Christian values, but she never preached about anything. She just "helped out." When homeless people crept into the foyer of her comfortable condominium to escape the streets, and Donna found them sleeping there, she gave them a blanket. She spent many holidays crawling under bridges and viaducts to provide food for those she found there. She shopped in thrift stores and spent her savings on street people, and she rescued and homed animals. She never complained and truly felt she was not doing anything special -- "anyone would do it," she would say. Frankly, I didn't see "anyone" except her. But I didn't point that out. It may have caused one of those lightning swift lectures that I'd seen, as well. Despite her sharp tongue, Donna looked for the good in everyone -- and she found it. She trusts people. When she sold her car and bought something more useful, packed her truck, boarded her animals with friends and family and headed to Nicaragua, with whatever "good stuff" she had to offer -- I was not surprised. She spearheaded and developed three world class organizations, rescued countless children and paid for most of it herself. I told her, when she needed help with the animals, reach out. Yesterday, that is what she did. Donna is flat broke, out of resources, fighting to remain healthy and feed, house and continue to rescue animals. She has never asked for help on this level. Never. I am glad she asked me. I've been so focused on my own "issues" that I've not even been to see her. As a first step, please send Donna some money. She has a Paypal account and the gift is tax deductible. I will post the detail. I'm trying to raise $100K for her to get her out of trouble, save her home and clinic. Send what you can.
