BENEFITING: NORTH-MISSOULA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
The NMCDC is being evicted from the office its enjoyed for over 14 years. With very limited available resources, we're getting ourselves ready to build a small office space within the building we own at 1500 Burns Street. The building already houses the Missoula Community Food Co-op, the Burns St. Bistro, and the B Street Community Center, where we host a free youth program each summer in partnership with the Missoula Food Bank and the Boys and Girls Club. Our new office will be right in the middle of this bustling building, tucked in a corner above the restrooms.
Anyhow, we normally get all our work done with grants. Our general overhead costs are low, and we get a lot of good work done. We need some help to ensure we can keep advocating for the north and westside neighborhoods, the local food system, and people of moderate means who want to own a home.
We'll be working with our friends around Missoula to get donated materials and labor, but we're going to need some cash as well. The construction estimates are coming in at around $18,000.
Any little bit helps. Thanks for considering supporting our work in the Missoula community.
