Organized by: Michelle Eiland
EVENT DATE Feb 18, 2017
I just returned from Pignon, Haiti and already have my eyes set on my next volunteer trip to Lampang, Thailand in August. I began doing these volunteer trips in 2010 and have grown to love the experience. I also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Plano, Texas where I reviewed housing applications and provided financial counseling. My favorite part was when I was able to call families and tell them that they had been approved for a Habitat home. You get a house! *in my Oprah voice*
These trips are a labor of love; however, there is a financial piece involved. That is why I am asking for your help. Your donation helps buy materials and fund loans. Fuller Center provides zero percent loans to the housing recipient and provides financial counseling to ensure repayment.
Please take a few moments to consider making a donation. My goal is to raise $1,560 to help the local Fuller affiliate in Thailand continue their work.
If you work for a sizable company, chances are good that your employer will match your donation to The Fuller Center for Housing. Ask your HR manager for more information.
Our team is a wonderful group of individuals and some of us have worked together on previous builds. You can read more about my previous trips in an article written by my youngest sister Courtney Eiland. You can also view my Facebook photo album from my most recent trip to Pignon, Haiti here.
If you are uncomfortable making a donation online, please send a check to The Fuller Center for Housing Attn: Registrar (#47004) 701 South MLK Blvd. Americus, GA 31719. Or, you may call (229) 924-2900 to make a donation over the phone.
I appreciate your help. Thank you.
