BENEFITING: The Tewaaraton Foundation and NativeVision

NativeVision and The Tewaaraton Foundation Invite your team to be a part of our grassroots campaign to send 1,000 kids to the NativeVision camp and provide summer education enrichment opportunities for Native American students across country.  Please join us by registering your team or group and committing to raise at least $200.  Every $200 raised will send a kid to camp!  We are running this campaign in conjunction with a special fundraising reception on November 16th in Washington, DC.   This campaign will run through June 1, 2017.

All funds raised will help create a brighter future for the First Americans: enabling  1,000 Native American children to attend the 2017 NativeVision sports and life skills camp, and go toward the Tewaaraton Foundation's scholarship fund for Native American college students as well as academic summer enrichment programs.

The partner organizations: NativeVision is an innovative program created by Johns Hopkins Center for American Indian Health, that uses sports as a hook to encourage youth to stay in school, lead healthy lifestyles, avoid alcohol and drugs, and achieve their dreams. It is propelled by professional and college athletes who serve as mentors/coaches at the annual intensive NativeVision camps. Since it was launched in 1996, NativeVision has become one of the largest youth development initiatives serving American Indians in the country, reaching over 40,000 Native youth and families.

The Tewaaraton Foundation each year recognizes the most outstanding men’s and women’s college lacrosse player at the Tewaaraton Award Ceremony, presented by Under Armour. Additionally, in partnership with US Lacrosse, the Tewaaraton Outstanding Native American Scholarship Awards provide college scholarships to male and female Native students who play lacrosse, excel in the classroom, and are active members of their communities.

Notes on prizes:  Value shown in maximum retail value of total prize.  All items will be shipped directly to winning team representative.  Apparel items will come unembellished.  Winning team representative can choose style, color and sizes subject to availability.
