Two teams of youth from Otuzco are trying to get to Lima to participate in the Para Quitarse el Sombrero business plan competition. They've gotten to the final stage of the competition, but are in need of funds to get to Lima to present their plans to the judges. One potential business is called FrutSol. They are selling dried fruit. Most notably apples and bananas. What's the catch? Their fruit is dried through solar power energy and has added honey extracts making a stereotypically bland product (dried fruit) into a sweet, healthy, eco-friendly snack. The other potential business is called SAPP, or Servicio de Atencion para Proteccion Pecuaria. This company is providing agricultural/farming consulting services to the town of Otuzco. Otuzco's main economic driver is agriculture. Men wake up at 5 am to go tend to their fields day in and day out. Nonetheless, a consulting service that adds an addition analysis and brainpower into the industry would be most beneficial.
