The Butler Rowing team of Butler University is attempting to set the world record for the longest continuous erg time for a mixed team of men and women under the age of 30. The event is officially called Butler Rowing Row-a-thon: Breaking Records to Benefit Veterans; the event will entail the members of the Butler Rowing team attempting to the break the current world record of a continuous erg time of 25 hours. Butler Rowing Row-a-thon will be held in the Health and Recreation Complex (HRC) starting on Friday, September 9th, and continuing through Sunday, September 11th and can be viewed at the HRC on Butler University's campus or via live stream on these dates. We are using this event as an opportunity to fundraise for our club and also for the Semper Fi Fund which provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to post-9/11 wounded, critically ill and injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, and their families, ensuring that they have the resources they need during their recovery and transition back to their communities. You can check out their website at https://semperfifund.org/ for more information about the charity. Any donation whether big or small will help both of our oganizations tremendously. Thank you for considering donating!
