BENEFITING: BUTTERFLY CHILDRENS HOSPICES U S INC
ORGANIZER: BUTTERFLY CHILDRENS HOSPICES U S INC
EVENT DATE: Nov 29, 2016
Emily, Grace and Cooper have all been to the Butterfly Home and the impact made on their lives is immeasurable. Each was especially drawn to a particular child.
Finlay's first day at Butterfly happened to be the day we arrived as well. We followed his story almost daily through multiple surgeries and touch and go recovery and Emily rejoiced when he was adopted. http://butterflyhospice.org/finlays-farewell/
Grace couldn't get enough of Wilson and she has had a beautiful affinity for children with Down's Syndrome since the day she met him. When he died, her 10 year old heart was shattered. http://butterflyhospice.org/hallo-wilson/
Hannah and Cooper had a mutual connection. She was just learning to walk and loved taking a few steps then diving into his arms. We're praying that she's matched with a family soon. http://butterflyhospice.org/precious-hannah/
You can read more about these and the other little butterflies at http://butterflyhospice.org/blog/
Emily, Grace and Cooper have packed and dragged suitcases full of supplies through airports, on trains, buses and cabs. They pool their monthly allowance to sponsor the crib called "Love" and most importantly they have affinity. Affinity for children they meet with disabiliies, affinity for the country of their birth, affinity for giving of themselves.
We give to Butterfly...we volunteer, we donate. But as a family, we receive much much more from our relationship with Butterfly. And we hope that leaks into who we are with our friends, in our school and work, and in our community here at home.
This #GivingTuesday will you help us raise $750 toward's Butterfly's goal? And beat Team Europe in the process!
