INFLAMMATORY BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION wrote -A diagnosis of inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) usually comes as a surprise. This fast growing, highly aggressive breast cancer usually appears without a lump and can escape detection by mammogram. A third of those diagnosed already have disease that has spread beyond the breast (metastasis). For another third the disease will spread but maybe not right away. Metastatic disease (stage IV) cannot be cured. However developing new treatments that allow good quality of life make a difference....BUYING TIME.....time to see a child graduate, get married, celebrate another birthday or anniversary.....BUYING TIME.
