BENEFITING: COMMITTEE AGAINST ANTI ASIAN VIOLEN CE
EVENT DATE: Nov 02, 2012
UPDATE: THIS PAGE IS NOW CLOSED! With power coming back to the LES and Chinatown, CAAAV asks that donations and volunteer efforts now be redirected to other areas of most need!!
I just heard from Helena at CAAAV, and she sends her thanks!!!
CAAAV will be doing walkthroughs tomorrow to see if power has been restored to all buildings and to follow up with some tenants.
$1279 in one day!!! I am absolutely overwhelmed by everyone's display of kindness and support!!
After researching a number of organizations, I have set up a new Crowdrise page which will direct resources to The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.http://www.crowdrise.com/t2tsirelief/
Having raised money and run for them before, I thought T2T a fitting and a reliable source.
Thank you again for taking part in this rebuilding process for our community.
Marathon or no marathon, there is so much work to be done. I hope to see you out there this weekend.
All my love,
