CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER FOR THE 31ST JUDICIAL DISTRICT was founded October 2000 with a mission to provide help for children who have been abused. We vigorously fight to break this vicious cycle of abuse through prevention education.
In our last fiscal year, 549 case management, assessment, child forensic interviews, trauma-focused counseling, court advocacy, family advocacy services and community resource assistance services were provided to victims of severe child abuse in Warren and Van Buren Counties.
Our School Prevention Program reached over 6500 students in both counties, educating these children on their basic right to safety. We have provided Stewards of Children training to many youth-based professionals in an effort to increase child abuse awareness and help foster positive change to help eradicate child abuse.
Every child abuse victim who receives our direct services does so totally free of charge. We are financially dependent upon grants, corporate contributions, and the generosity of others. Your donation provides:
$1800 provides 12 sessions of Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Counseling for one child
$1000 provides Forensic Interview and Victim Advocacy for one child
$500 provides a month of Victim Advocacy and Counseling for one child abuse victim
$250 provides one term of Support Counseling for a non-offending caregiver or child sexual abuse victim
$100 provides Stewards of Children education to 7 adults
$50 provides beverages and snacks for two months
Financial contributions may be made in Memory of someone special or in Honor of a special occasion. A tastefully elegant card will be sent to the intended recipient acknowledging that a contribution has been made to help protect the children of the 31st District on your behalf.
The money you donate to CAC31 helps abused children with their recovery and educates others so they may better protect themselves from abuse.
