The Cache Youth Resource Center is an operation to decrease suicide and homelessness among youth in Cache Vally, Utah. Before CYRC's opening in late November, 2013 there were no community resources in Cache Valley for homeless or displaced youth. CYRC is partnered with OUTreach Resource Centers and Safe and Sound and shares in their mission to provide resources to Utah's homeless youth population.
All donations will be used to help fund the operations and sustainability of CYRC. Donations are used to secure goods for displaced youth, such as:
- Canned food
- Camping gear
- Hygiene items
- Water bottles
Funds are also be used to support programs and services such as:
- Hot dinner
- Educational and art programming
- Training in accessing benefits such as food stamps, health care, and housing
- Couseling services
The drop-in center is located at the Cache Valley Unitarian Universalist Church and is open on Fridays from 4:30-7:30pm. All youth ages 14-23 are welcome.
