Caden's Road to Freedom
Organized by: Caden Gallagher
Hi my name is Caden Gallagher. Since before I can remember I have always been different. I chose video games over dolls, yu-gi-oh and short hair over dress up. It wasn't until my sophomore year of high school I came out as transgender. I asked to be called Caden and to be referred to as male.
(This is around the time I started making YouTube videos like that one) ←
I convinced my mom to let me start HRT or hormone replacement therapy and started taking testosterone. I have now been on it for almost 2 years, and life has changed a lot since then. Friends have come and go, life has had its ups and downs. But I've tried to keep optimistic.
I'm not one to burden others with my problems, or ask for help when I need it. But I cannot do this on my own. I am fundraising for top surgery because my insurance does not cover anything under gender identity disorder. I work a minimum wage job and I'm 19 years old and asking for help so I can finally live a normal life. Everyday I wear a extremely tight vest called a binder. It causes me extreme back pain making most days impossible to face. I compresses my chest down so that it appears I have a male chest. I love swimming and swimming or excerising with a binder on is very hard on my ribs and lungs. I'm not asking for you to donate just to share to as many people as you can. I appreciate any amount and after my surgery I will work to donate to as many other transmen surgeries I can. Thank you for taking your time to look at this page.
