Why We Run
CADV works toward a society free of violence by offering a range of programs for education, prevention, and intervention. CADV operates three full-service shelters for survivors and their children, provides survivor advocacy and outreach to the greater NYC community, and develops and runs groundbreaking anti-dating violence and anti-bullying education programs for NYC elementary through high school students.
The NYC Half Marathon Team is fundraising for our survivor advocacy and community based services. We provide 1 on 1 case managing, referrals, and safety planning, weekly support groups in English and Spanish, and community outreach. As a member of the CADV Half Marathon team, you will raise $1,500 to help NYC families rebuild their lives. Together we can eliminate domestic violence in our communities.
