The Cincinnati Aviation Heritage Society would be able to bring Civilian Aviation History to life in a town where Aeronca Aircraft were first made as well as the Metal Aircraft Flamingo and Crosley Airplanes. LeBlond engines were made here and the Lunkenheimer Valve company made valves for airplanes including Lindbergh's "Spirit of St. Louis".

American Airlines has early roots in Cincinnati after being part of the huge AVCO conglomerate. Embry Riddle Aeronautical University first operated at Cincinnati Lunken Airport as an airline before becoming one of the premier flight training organizations in the United States.

CAHS Museum is in possession of some rare airplanes that need a place for display including one of only 6 surviving Rutan Vari-Viggens, the prototype Smith Termite and an original air mail pick-up plane that once flew in the service of All American Airways. All American would pick up mail on the fly from Pittsburgh down the ohio river to it's western terminal at Lunken then transfer mail to the Trunk Airlines (American, TWA, and Delta) fcomleting coast-to-coast Air Mail Service.

If CAHS is able to move in to its own hangar, as a result of this fundraiser, donors will have launched a brand new venue for continuing STEM training projects for youth. Those students will be able to help rebuild the Stinson Reliant Mail Plane to it's original glory and perhaps one day see it fly.
