We cannot thank everyone enough for your continued thoughts, prayers and support. As many of you know, Caiden is a 5 year old sweet boy who loves playing with his younger brother Caleb and all of his cousins, never wanted to leave school (he just started Kindergarten), loves running super fast, and is always concerned for the well-being of others around him.
Caiden has a seizure disorder that has been very well controlled until this past year. On Sunday morning September 21st, Caiden had a seizure that was caused by an infection. He was admitted to Boston Children’s Hospital on that same Sunday and has since spent a week in the ICU – as the infection has caused swelling around his brain and has caused his seizures to flare up. Thanks to God and everyone’s thoughts and prayers, Caiden has recently been transferred from the ICU back to a regular room. From the infection and seizures, Caiden has lost his speech and function on his left side. The next step for Caiden is to be transferred to a rehab hospital, once he is able, in order to receive the physical, occupational and speech therapies he needs. His incredible parents, Cassandra and Jared, have been out of work for over 10 days now to be at Caidens bedside the entire way. They both work full time, but have lost many hours and are behind on bills.
This fundraiser is to help Caiden’s mom and dad to remain by his side over these next few months, as he continues in making strides in his recovery. Please consider helping this young family to get back on their feet running and support Caiden in his journey to recovery - whether it is by donating, spreading the word by sharing this with others, and/or by your continued thoughts and prayers.
