As an honors student at Jackson State University (3.7 GPA), I was excited to learn that my beloved college home had partnered with the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) to offer 140 students the chance to study abroad for 2 weeks over the summer. I am enrolled in the College of Public Service Bachelor's of Science in Health Care Administration Program. My college will be traveling to Santiago, Dominican Republic to study "Health Disparities in World Cultures". On May 27, 2015, I am hoping to board a plane to travel to the Dominican Republic, but of course, everything comes with a cost. Unfortunately, I do not qualify for summer financial aid. This has led me to reach out to family and friends to help cover my tuition. $2,075 is a small amount that will produce large, endless possibilities over a lifetime. Any amount of donation will get me one step closer to my goal. While away, I will participate in classes, cultural activities, day trips, and excursions that will cause me to embrace the culture of the Dominican Republic. Thank you in advance for your donation!!
