CALIFORNIA PARTNERSHIP TO END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE wrote -
Will you help us turn the Golden State Purple? Your support not only earns you fashionable perks and the chance to receive a limited-edition purse designed by actress Kerry Washington--it makes you part of a statewide team dedicated to ending financial abuse and domestic violence as a whole.
Why is it important to address financial abuse? Economic concerns are the most frequently cited reason survivors return to abusive relationships. In order for survivors to take steps towards violence-free lives, they must have a solid financial foundation. Here at the Partnership, we're making great strides in our Building Opportunities for Survivors’ Success (B.O.S.S.) Project provides training, funds and resources to local California programs. With our support, they're providing financial literacy and economic empowerment services with domestic violence survivors.
As our state's domestic violence coalition, this is just one example of the support we provideto domestic violence programs throughout the state. What drives our work?
- Validating survivors by encouraging them to define their experiences
- Acknowledging that they are the experts in their own lives
- Advocating for survivors' rights to self-determination and control over their own lives
- Supporting survivors in achieving the financial stability necessary to keep their families safe
Please know that with your support we will continue our momentum and create widespread change in our state. When you make a donation to the Partnership, you become an ally in our united movement to end domestic violence.
