EVENT DATE: Feb 12, 2014
Southeast Asia has recently been devastated by the natural disasters. There have been many initiatives to currently rebuild this area. One such initiative is the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church’s Mission Trip to O Kroch, Cambodia in February of 2014. Each year NYAC coordinates a Youth Mission trip. The purpose of the 2014 mission is to bring hope to the village children and ministering the poor with education while providing youth ambassadors with a life changing experience. Youth Ambassadors will be helping in the rebuilding of the local church and school. This fundraiser will enable a youth to take part in this mission. As youth complete their final year of High School they will soon be entering their adult lives. This mission provides them not only with the opportunity to see the world but also to change it. In this current climate students need to feel relevant. They need to feel that they matter in a way more powerful than having the most likes on Facebook. Instead of likes they will be saving lives.
