The SAEP Photography Program is designed to teach learners from the
impoverished and severely under-resourced township of Philippi about the basic elements of photography. All our arts programs aim to inspire creativity through self-expression and enhance learners' pride and sense of accomplishment. Through our photography program, disadvantaged students will have the opportunity to learn the workings of analog and digital cameras, the rule of thirds, light and dark, framing, and using shapes and lines. The learners will then have their best photos displayed at their schools and at the SAEP Arts Festival.
SAEP seeks 4 digital cameras for learners to borrow and take pictures with on a weekly basis through our workshops. Please help us to provide this opportunity for artistic expression to our enthusiastic students!
