The Capital City Chess collaborative, was formed to bring the Game of chess to the city of Trenton and Mercer County in an effort to promote the development of those skills sets that will give the students of the Trenton and Mercer county Communities school districts, a well rounded since of purpose and achievement. the Collaborative is made of an executive board of (5) members,we have operated since June 14,2014 when we produced our first championships since then we have hosted (2) other championships (one of them being a warm up event that hosted (4) out of the (5) member schools who have chess clubs and belong to the collaborative. Presently we are working on our next championship focusing on the over 40 year old who play chess, The hope and aim is to reinforce to the students that the development of, Visualization,Calculation,Evaluation,Pruning,Planning,Adaptation,Pattern Recognition,Prophylaxis, with the last skill being Eye for Error. We are working on the development of our out-reach program which consist of the our chess mentoring program,for which we have one parent so far. It is our aim to hold and week-end of chess in downtown Trenton,to promote the city and invite higher rated players to come to the city of Trenton. All monies can be forward to The Capital City Chess Collaborative, P.O. Box 1970,Trenton N.J. 08607. ALL MONIES WILL BE USED FOR ALL DIRECT AND IN-DIRECT STATED PURPOSES.
