BENEFITING: FIRST RESPONSE TEAM OF AMERICA CORP
EVENT DATE: Jun 21, 2011
The Race to the End of the World (so aptly named for Finisterre, Espana) is my attempt to complete the entire Camino de Santiago or Way of St. James, which is approximately 800 km [or 500 miles], in 7.5 days. With the proper degree of determination, rigorous training and support network, Augustine truly believes that anything is possible.
Just like we cannot control the End of the World, we cannot control what locations get victimized by powerful natural disasters. For this reason, proceeds from my race will go toward an amazing charity, First Response Team, a not-for-profit organization that provides relief efforts to communities devastated by natural disasters that lack the necessary resources to respond efficiently.
