Event Name: Camp Noah Volunteer Fundraising
Camp Noah is a camp for children whose communities have impacted by disaster and we want to provide a safe, caring, and a fun environment where children can build resiliency skills within the familiarity of their own communities. We use a proven curriculum designed to help children process their disaster and/or trauma experience through creative activities and play. In this safe and supportive setting, children are encouraged to face their fears, grieve their losses, identify and share their unique gifts and talents and plan for an amazing future. This will be the second year that we will be working with the Karen refugee children from mainly Burma/Myanmar and Thailand. These children have been through many disasters which destroy what it's like to be a child and it would be nice for them to be children for once. Camp Noah is here to help them. Camp Noah cover the cost of the camp, which we are able to provide at no cost to campers. This money will go into the campers survival backpack kit, their blanket, art works, and also the food provinces at Camp Noah. As a person that is born and raised in Burma, I know what it's like to go through disasters that you're not at the age appropriate to go through so I really hope YOU can contribute to the fund and help these kids enjoy a week full of fun.
