BENEFITING: EVANSTON HISTORY CENTER
The goal of the Campaign for the Evanston History Center (CEHC) is to preserve Evanston history for the future. EHC is in the midst of a critical $4 million capital campaign to address the immediate infrastructure needs of the Charles Gates Dawes House, including installation of state-of-the-art geothermal heating and cooling, and establish an endowment to address future needs. The Dawes house is not only the largest artifact in EHCs collection, it functions to protect all of the other priceless historic materials, archives and artifacts, that EHC cares for. It also provides the main venue for EHC to fulfill its mission: sharing its remarkable local history collection with the public, through programs, exhibits and research services.
