THE STORY:

Hi! I'm Paige. :)
In the winter of 2012, I went to Lake Ann Camp for the very first time. Not only did I fall in love with Lake Ann Camp, but I found that my love for Jesus was rejuvenated.
We had found out about my Mom's cancer the previous Summer, so I was feeling pretty vulnerable. God used Pastor Ken, the staff, and the worship team from Cedarville College, HeartSong, to minister to my heart.
Thankfully, our church went to Lake Ann Camp last Summer and then, once more, this past winter. This Summer, however, the church will be going on a mission trip. Although the mission trip would be extremely rewarding, I have been selected to be a Reborne Ranger.
The Reborne Rangers is Lake Ann's premier leadership camp. It's said to not only be fun, but extremely challenging as campers take a huge step into leading the next generation for Christ. I would really like to take advantage of this opportunity. Especially since it can only happen one time for a camper and it must occur in the high school years. I'm going into my Junior Year. :)
Now, about my Mom. I praise God that she is now cancer free! She is one of my best friends. After her surgery, she lost her job as a custodian. She began a new job in a factory but sustained an injury to her back that has made working nearly impossible. Even after physical therapy, she may need to have back surgery. Right now, we are getting by on $225 per week with rent being $500 per month.
As you can see, we can't afford much, but God takes care of our needs. We have a roof over our heads, clothing on our backs, and food in our bellies. God is so good! There at Lake Ann Camp, they do help out with scholarships for families who are poor or have multiple children. Last year, they helped us out with $100. Unfortunately, for me to go to Reborne Rangers, it will cost $509. Mom is paying the $85 deposit today. I'm hoping that we can get another $100 scholarship from the Lake Ann Camp supporters, but we don't have that guarantee.
In addition, since my church is not going, we will have a combined total of 1,316.4 miles to drive because Mom will need to make two round trips from rural Indiana All the way up to the top of Michigan. Please help me get to camp! Thank you so much for your consideration and donation!
