BENEFITING: American Diabetes Association, Inc.
Did you know that per family it costs around $750 to send one child to Camp Needlepoint? Did you also know that 40% of campers are either on a partial or full scholarship in order to attend camp? Each cabin stays approximately 8 to 10 campers costing a total of $7,500. To help cut these cost help send campers to camp, the American Diabetes Association is starting a new fundraising tradition. We are excited to introduce the first annual Campership Challenge! This challenge will consist of 5 counselors campaigning to raise the most money to go towards camperships to help send our campers to camp! A majority of our camp counselors effortlessly sign over their $250 paycheck to help fund the camp, so we have confidence that this will be an exciting challenge. The fundraising will begin 2 weeks before camp (August 1st-August 14th). The camp counselor that raises the most money will receive four tickets to the Evening of Research and Recognition, camp apparel, a gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings, and most importantly, bragging rights. The winner will be announced at the opening fire! Follow the donation process as the camp counselor gets filled in as more donations are received.
