As you know, my passion for the Boston Marathon and children is insurmountable. I am fortunate to have the privilege of running the 2017 Boston Marathon for Team Camp Shriver this year!
Working at Boston Children's Hospital has afforded me the opportunity to come in contact with children from all walks of life. I grew up a latchkey kid in a single parent home where my mom worked numerous jobs to support her family. I have been blessed to be introduced to this wonderful team that provides FREE summer camp for low income families that promotes inclusion and positive peer relationships amongst kids with and without disabilities. All of the funds that I raise this year will go directly to this amazing program. Don't take my word for it, please read more below:

Camp Shriver - where children can learn and play... as equals!
We are so lucky to live in a nation where children with disabilities are included in our schools, in our communities and in our lives. But Camp Shriver takes this one step further. Inclusion is good... equal is better!
That's why for over a decade, Camp Shriver at the University of Massachusetts Boston has welcomed over 1000 children, half with and half without intellectual and developmental disabilities, ages 8-12, from low income families in the Boston area to a free inclusive summer sports camp.
Camp Shriver serves an equal number of children with and without disabilities so that all children can play and learn—as equals.
All the funds raised by our fantastic Team Camp Shriver members will directly support sending over 100 children to camp this summer. With your support, and the support of these amazing indviduals running 26.2 miles for children with disabilities, we will makle sure that all children have an opportunity to play and learn together this summer!
Camp Shriver’s mission is to bring children with and without disabilities together to provide opportunities for social and motor development, while promoting positive peer relationships among campers.
