Camp Southern Ground is the vision of GRAMMY-Award winning artist Zac Brown. Growing up Zac spent his summers as a camper and a counselor, igniting in him the desire to one day create a camp of his own. As his career took off he has been able to use the success of music as the vehicle to make his dream of having a camp a reality.
Located on over 400 acres in Fayetteville, GA, Camp Southern Ground is more than the typical camp. Our state-of-the-art campus will have activities to challenge, educate, and inspire our campers, with special emphasis on children with neurodevelopmental disorders, social or emotional challenges, and those with family members serving in the military.
Camp Southern Ground will be a place for children to learn healthy life skills through programs of purpose involving nutrition, nature, music, arts, patriotism and leadership while at the same time unleashing the magic of the outdoors.
When camp is not in session, the facilities of Camp Southern Ground will be used internally as a think tank for high-level thought leaders in the fields we serve. It will also be used for special interest retreats, team building corporate events, educational conferences and special events.
“It’s more than a camp, our dream is to offer children and their families an experience in a beautiful natural setting that inspires a new way of thinking about themselves, others, and the world around them. We can unleash a remedy of love into the world by investing in children with the resources to overcome limitations.” - Zac Brown
