Colin Kaepernick says: "We need more people on the Camp Taylor team!".

Camp Taylor is a medically supervised non-profit free residential camp for children suffering from heart disease and their families. We are often referred to as "The happiest place on earth for children with heart disease". We offer youth, teen, sibling and family camps catering to children with the number one birth defect from ages 1-21. We offer camp programs in the state of California and Hawaii serving children from across the United States. We help the under-served population of pediatric cardiology shed their emotional, mental and social scars related to living with a life-threatening illness. Camp is a magical place a world away from their daily challenges. We provide heart education classes, heart to heart group talks, and coping strategies weaved between many enriching camp activities like campfire skits, swimming, rock wall climbing, archery and meadow games. Most of our heart camper's lives completely improve upon meeting, for the first time, another child with a matching scar down their chest because they realize that they are not alone in their struggles. You can witness the self esteem rising through bringing these #HeartWarriors together at camp.
We are honored to have Colin Kaepernick and the entire Kaepernick Family as part of the Camp Taylor Family! We are extremely grateful to work closely with Colin in honoring his parents and his two infant older brothers that passed away from heart disease.
Colin continues to create an unprecedented awareness of Congenital Heart Defects and shows the children that we serve acceptance on a huge stage! His smile is equally as bright as our campers when spending time with them, he is one of their biggest fans!
Together, we've grown our programs and reached more children than ever before.
