Every year, CAMTA sends a group of medical and non-medical volunteers to Quito, Ecuador to perform orthopedic surgeries on adult and pediatric patients. These patients desperately need the surgeries but cannot afford it. You can’t even begin to imagine how their lives are changed once the surgery is done. CAMTA has been doing this for 11 years!!
Team members volunteer their time and raise funds to meet their own travel expenses. Donations from generous supporters like you enable volunteers like me to go to Ecuador and for CAMTA to purchase the surgical supplies needed for the mission.
I will be working as a Lay Person whose primary role will be to help the medical team do their work. I will be doing everything from helping transport patients, to cleaning and sterilizing instruments, packing and unpacking equipment and running around for materials such as drugs, patient files, x-rays etc. Anything to help the patients and doctors basically!
I need YOUR help to get me there! Please visit my fundraising page on the CAMTA website at http://camta.com/profile/5E068F62-4040-6013-A52DCBAE98233BAB to read my profile AND to make an online donation.Every dollar counts! $20, $50, more! Whatever you can afford. CAMTA will issue tax receipts for donations of $20 and above.
With your support, CAMTA will continue to transform lives and to give hope to many. Without your help, that just won't be possible. Help us renew their HOPE and change their lives!
Thank for your support. It means the world to me!
