This year marks the 23rd Anniversary of the Canadian International Law Students’Conference (CILSC). This is a collaborative annual event co-run by the Osgoode International Law Society, CLAIHR-Osgoode and the University of Toronto’s International Law Society. The CILSC provides a forum for law students, academics, practitioners, and leaders in the field to exchange ideas about Canada's international and domestic performance in public and private international law. Speakers also touch on how to begin exploring a career in this field. The conference has a history of attracting prominent speakers involved in the practice and study of international law. The focus of this year’s conference will be "Tragedy of the Commons," which will about international human movements, refugee rights, and climate change. We expect 75 people to attend. Budgeted Expenses Catering for breakfast: We are providing coffee, tea and juices, as well as basic pastries for our morning guests as they participate in a careers workshop. Catering for lunch: We are providing sandwiches and refreshments for lunch. Catering for an after-conference reception: The reception will be catered. Specific examples are: - Sandwiches platter for about 40 ppl - $170 - Pita and hummus platter - $55 - Cheese and Crackers - $60 - Vegetable Tray - $55 - Fruit platter - $55 - Water, juice and soda for 40 people - $58 - Salads, shrimp, and other hors d'oeuvres –over $350 Posters/flyers/name tags for all attendees/pamphlets for all attendees Speaker Gifts Travel per diem, hotel for one night
