When I first started running, it was for the personal challenge, the goal of just finishing a race. But I started to notice that the hours spent outside in the forests, trails, tracks and roads running and training were actually my meditiation time. I found that running became my therapy, when I was stressed, upset, overwhelmed or anxious I could go for a run and come back empty, a chance to go through everything in my mind, it was a way for me to help my mental health. This year after losing someone in my family to suicide, my drive to continue to support Mental Health and charities that provide assistance to those struggling with illness has increased and this year I'm fundraising $300 and running in the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon. Please consider supporting me in this cause, supporting Canadian Mental Health Association.
