Cancer doesnt quit
Organized by: Dexter Durlin
I have survived colon cancer for 6 yrs now but one of the surgeries went wrong. Luckily I have insurance that covers most of the costs. I signed up to go to college to pursue my dreams of becoming a teacher. Somehow the checks into my background included a credit check, today because of recent occurances you must be of the highest character to become a teacher, and some copays I never knew about showed up. I spent the last 6 yrs paying $30 a month to cover all the other copays but somehow these ones didnt show up to be paid til now. 3 seperate follow ups have a total of $1700 in copays need to be cleared, after I passed everything to be admitted to the College of Education at UNCC, this is my final road block. The first I even heard of it was a call from a collection agency I called the hospital to arrange payment but they said I could pay them but cant clear the bad debt until its all paid. This is the only thing I could think of to possibly do in time to still make fall classes.
