THE STORY:

I am going to fight and beat this! But I need your HELP.

Just under a year a go I was leaving for a new life with my husband in America, where I would be working as a teacher at a British School in Houston.
We had settled in for a few months and loved all the exciting new opportunities here, settling into a Texas lifestyle, School was going well, we bought a convertible mustang and we found a really good place to train Mixed Martial Arts, a passion of mine and my husbands.

Unfortunately around the Christmas time my whole life was turned upside down!! Please read my story....

It may not be the first fight I was hoping for since moving to the USA, but it will certainly be my toughest! Please all my beautiful friends out there, live life to the full...you never know whats round the corner.

I found a lump at the end of last year, I got it checked out, due to my healthy life style they thought it was nothing, just a trauma from impact/being hit.

Luckily the Americans being extra thorough removed it!
I then went in for the results in March, thinking it was all gone and I can get on with my life. I have no history of cancer, don't drink, don't smoke, 29 years old, eat well and train lots!!

I then was told I have Breast Cancer, triple negative. I need to start chemotherapy on 12th March!! WHAT it's My 30th.....

I was in total shock, I wouldn't believe it, from then on it just got worse and worse...
It was an aggressive tumor, as I am only 29 it grows fast, since the surgery I then found more lumps. The cancer had spread, after more tests, it spread to near my lungs and collar bone. After painful day after day of uncomfortable tests, resulting in not moving my arm and not being able to breathe. They then wanted me to start chemotherapy straight away.

As I have no children, I could become infertile from the treatment, so although they want no delay. I went through IVF, just incase!! More hospital visits, injections and a surgery.

Finally chemotherapy began on March 25th, its an aggressive treatment lasting 5 months!! I am 4 rounds in with 12 to go, it is by far the toughest, horrendous thing I have ever faced. It makes me so weak and poorly, and effects all my healthy cells, no one could ever prepare me for what I am going through right now. I hate that I can't do anything, eat anything sometimes, be stuck in doors, not teach my lovely students.

This will be followed by surgery where they remove my other lumps, plus re-open my original lumpectomy as margins weren't clear, followed by over 30 rounds of radiotherapy. This will take me way into November and by which time I hope I have survived and beaten this!!

It is very lonely here and it's hard not doing this with my friends and family around, but luckily I have an amazing husband that is with me every step of the way.

Unfortunately money has been an issue, despite having private health insurance, there are still co-payments, bills, drugs and a very expensive IVF service. Putting me in over $15,000 debt so far, with a long way to go!!
Any help small or large is greatly appreciated, I am always one for charity, doing my fair share back home. As soon as I am fit an healthy I want to be more involved in raising money for charity and especially raising awareness to young breast cancer patients out there.

Thank you for reading.
