Candice's fight to gI've back, one puppy at a time!
Organized by: Candice Holt
My name is Candice, I'm 26 years old and honestly haven't done much with my life. It took losing custody of my 3 daughters and my fiance being sentenced to 7 years in prison for me to open my eyes and realize just how important life is. I'm now fighting to get back custody of my children and while doing so I'm also fighting addiction, depression and learning how to be successful in life. I've always wanted to give to those who have even less than me but never knew exactly how. There is a volunteer program here that lets you pick a puppy to send to a prison and a inmate is selected as this puppy's handler that trains it and is by its side 24/7. They train these puppies for all sorts of different reasons but it also in return helps the inmate progress and become a better individual for society. I would love to be able to donate $3500to this program which would cover the cost of a puppy, the puppy's needs for 6 months to a year, provide the inmate with money to buy treats and toys, cover the cost of training for the inmate and puppy etc. I plan for my puppy to be donated to a children's cancer hospital here in the USA to help patients especially the new patients to be at ease and even to stay by the children who have very little time on this earth's side until they are no longer suffering from the nasty disease we call cancer. If you could bring a smile to a child's face who probably has very little reason to smile if only for a day!
