$50,000 will help us enroll & maintain 200 cancer patients and cancer survivors in our online research and cannabis coaching platform for one year. Our program provides benefits to multiple parties. It provides the support these cancer patients deserve to maintain a high quality of life during and after their cancer fight. It also provides data to stakeholders such as the Colorado Cancer Coalition, legislators, and healthcare systems on whether cannabis is increasing cancer survivorship for specific cancer types, which can open up new avenues for legalizing and funding cannabis and cannabis research for cancer.
1 in 2 women in America will develop cancer at some point in their lifetime. Cannabis is a proven and effective treatment for the nausea, vomiting, and appetite suppression associated with chemotherapy, and future clinical research will validate anecdotal evidence that cannabis can reduce growth and spread of cancer tumors.
Help support IMPACT Network's efforts to make cannabis an option first available to all cancer patients instead of a treatment of last-resort.
Education: Our scientists and doctors lecture across the country on "Cannabis For Cancer." We will be creating printed materials for doctors, patients, and legislators to understand how cannabis can be effective for the side effects of chemotherapy as well as primary treatment of cancer.
Research: We are launching IRB-approved studies in conjuction with top cannabis-recommending doctors to study the impact of cannabis use on frequency and severity of symptoms associated with specific forms of cancer and cancer treatment, including pain, appetite, nausea, and vomiting, as well as quality of life and mortality.
We plan to publish the results of these studies in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present preliminary data at scientific conferences. This work will reduce stigma of cannabis treatment for cancer, increase the quality of life of cancer patients, and save lives.
Advocacy: We are working to legalize medical marijuana at state and federal levels in order to provide patients with cancer a humane treatment option. We are also working to increase funding for research and reduce legal obstacles associated with cannabis for cancer research in the United States.
Partners: Some of our many partners include CSU-Pueblo's Institute of Cannabis Research (ICR), Colorado Cancer Coalition, Holos Health, and Cultivated Synergy.
Donors: We are funded through grants from nonprofit organizations, community businesses, event sponsorships, and individual donors like you.
IMPACT Network's mission is to Improve Marijuana Policy and Accelerate Cannabinoid Therapeutics for women worldwide. We are a 501c3 nonprofit located in Denver, CO serving the nationwide cannabis patient community.
