10,000 children live in poverty in Boulder County. This represents a 34% increase in children living in poverty in our community over the last decade. The overall poverty rate for Boulder is over 17%. The Family Learning Center's has helped this population improve their economic and educational sustainability. Families and children served in desperate need of accessible and affordable health and wellness programs that allow them to improve their health and sense of well being. The Family Learning Center's new center will provide fresh, organic donated food from local merchants and its community garden, health care screenings, physical fitness programs, educational classes on nutrition, cooking, food preservation ( canning, etc.). Help us finish off strong, The Family Learning Center's Health and Wellness Education Building Capital Campaign. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to make difference in the lives of children and families in need in our community. Each donor will have their names permanently engraved on our donor 'Hope and Gratitude' Appreciation wall. Each donor will receive a personalize plaque featuring children and families that will be served by FLC's new Health and Wellness Education Center. Each donor will receive a personal invitation to our grand opening, names will be listed in our newspaper 'Thank You' ad, website, and in our annual report. You can chose to fund an entire item and or contribute to a item, or you can make a general capital campaign donation. All donations qualify for Colorado's Child Care Tax Credit and are 100% tax deductible.
