Captain John cremation and funeral
Organized by: Margaret Ericson
Captain John Grant, father, veteran, tug boat captain, New Orleans resident, passed away 12/26/2016 after a long fight with cancer. His daughter Heather, along with his friends have been by his side during his fight. He is now without suffering and at peace. I am writing this on behalf of John and Heather Grant to help with his funeral. Despite the tragedy of saying goodbye to her father, Heather has been given just 2 weeks to come up with the money for John's cremation and funeral. Of course now her and her father's funds have been completely depleted. Between Heather paying 2 rents so that her dad could live his last days in the comfort of his home to hospital bills, the burden is now on Heather as the only daughter. Unlike many of the causes on this site which require significant amounts of money to accomplish their needs, the Grant family only needs $9,500 to give john a funeral that is dignified and representative of his time on this earth. Anyone who can relate to loss of a father, veteran, cancer victim, we need your help. Even the smallest donations add up and make a difference. The holidays are an especially painful time to lose a loved one. let them know they are not alone and that people care. I know there are angels out there who will come to the rescue. Thank you for reading this.
