My 2006 Hyundai Tucson GLS with 85,000 miles needs a transmission. It is currently at a shop waiting for me to give the go-ahead for the repair. A replacement transmission from Hyundai is $3,000 and will have a warranty, one year. I have tried to borrow the money from the bank, no luck. I have tried to borrow against the car with a car title loan (car has been paid off for years), at two different companies, but they need to see the car in working order. I also tried to buy a used car but the payments were too high for me. A replacement from a salvaged Hyundai Tucson is $1,900.00 with not much of a guaranty, maybe 30 days. The salvaged Hyundai Tucson has approx. 80,000 miles. I am retired and on Social Security. I struggle some months to buy medications for my diabetes and my lumbar SI joint chronic pain problem and my Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) and buy food. Please, please help me get my car repaired.
